Thank you for visiting the Ashiya Marine Center (Hyogo Prefectural Ocean Gymnasium) website. To our users, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued understanding and cooperation with our operations.

本館は19８４(昭和59)年 阪神電鉄打出駅からほど近い芦屋浜の地に、海洋スポーツの振興を通じて青少年の健全育成と県民の健康づくりに寄与することを目的に、海洋レクリエーションの拠点として開館しました。都会の真ん中で海洋スポーツを気軽に楽しめる、全国的にみても貴重な施設です。

The Center opened in 1984 in Ashiyahama, near Uchiide Station on the Hanshin Electric Railway line, as a base for marine recreation, with the aim of contributing to the sound development of youth and the better health of prefectural residents through the promotion of marine sports. It is a rare facility in Japan where people can easily enjoy marine sports in the middle of the urban area.

本館では、たくさんの方に海に親しんでいただくため、はじめて来館された、経験のない方でも楽しめる「はじめてヨット」、「はじめてカヌー」、「はじめてＳＵＰ」といった未経験者向けプログラムも設けています。
また、救助艇で芦屋沖や神戸・大阪へクルージングする「芦屋クルーズ」では、様々なアクティビティ体験ができます。

In order to familiarize many people with the sea, the Center offers programs for inexperienced visitors, such as “First time Yachting,” “First time Canoeing,” and “First time SUP,” so that visitors without any experience can enjoy these activities.
We also offer the “Ashiya Cruise,” a cruising tour in a rescue boat to offshore Ashiya, Kobe, and Osaka, which brings a variety of activity experiences to the boat passengers.

一方、小中学生の海洋スクールでは、浜辺でのエビカニ・植物等の生態観察・環境学習、着衣水泳、漁業体験、船員体験などの職業体験、津波への備えをはじめとする海の防災学習などを実施し、将来の海洋人材の育成にもあたっています。

Meanwhile, the marine school for elementary and junior high school students offers ecological observation of shrimp, crabs, plants, and environmental studies on the beach, swimming in clothes, fishery experience, work experience as a seaman, and disaster prevention education including tsunami preparedness, to develop future human resources in maritime fields.

競技スポーツでは、ヨット・カヌー・ドラゴンのメッカとして小・中・高・大・社会人の選手の皆さんが日々活動しています。そのなかからは、世界の檜舞台で活躍する人材が育っています。

The center is also a Mecca for competitive races in yachting, canoeing, and dragons, where athletes of all ages - elementary, middle school, high school, college, and adult - are active daily. From among these athletes, talented people who can play on the world's top stage have been trained.

２０２４パリオリンピック セーリング競技では、本館ゆかりの３名の選手が出場し、吉岡美帆選手が銀メダルを獲得し、田中美沙樹選手・西田カピーリア選手がそれぞれ１７位と健闘しました。また、毎週末活動しているＢ＆Ｇ兵庫ジュニア海洋スクールでは、選手７名が2025世界選手権・ヨーロッパ選手権・アジア選手権に出場することが決定しています。

In the 2024 Paris Olympics sailing competition, three athletes who used to train daily at the Center competed, with Miho Yoshioka winning the silver medal and Misaki Tanaka and Kapilia Nishida placing 17th, respectively. In addition, seven athletes from the B&G Hyogo Junior Marine School, who practice every weekend, have been selected to compete in the 2025 World Championships, European Championships, or Asian Championships.

本館は小学生から70歳を超えるシニアの方々まで、年間5万人を超える方々に利用いただいています。経験の有無、技量の程度にかかわらず、各人が海洋スポーツを楽しめるよう多彩なプログラムを用意しています。今まで海にふれる経験の少なかった方は、是非本館のプログラムで海に出て、海上ならではの爽快感を味わってください。皆様のお越しをお待ち申し上げております。

The Center serves over 50,000 people a year, from elementary school students to seniors over 70 years old. A wide variety of programs are available so that everyone can enjoy marine sports, regardless of experience or skill level. If you have not had much experience in the sea before, please come to the Center and taste the feeling of exhilaration you can only enjoy on the sea. We look forward to your visit.
